About the Art Salon

In the 18th and 19th centuries, Art Salons were the most prestigious annual or biannual art events in the Western world, showcasing the latest achievements in academia and the arts. Inspired by this tradition, Alfa Art Gallery established the New Brunswick Art Salon in 2010. This exhibition series takes place three times a year—every Fall, Winter, and Spring—bridging the gap between talented, highly esteemed artists and the New Brunswick public.

Each Salon presents a diverse array of emerging and professional artists working in various mediums, from photography and oil painting to mixed media and watercolor. The goal of these exhibitions is to foster a connection between artists and their communities, while also unifying the culturally rich city of New Brunswick through the power of art.
