Opening Reception: November 8, 2013 from 6:30 to 9:30 PM
Exhibition Duration: November 1, 2013 to November 28, 2013
The Alfa Art Gallery is proud to present “Pathways to Nirvana,” our New Brunswick Art Salon, Fall 2013 Exhibition. Alfa’s Fall Salon focuses on oil-color and mixed media – a turn from our Winter Salon’s focus on photography and our Spring Salon’s focus on water-color and mixed media. All of our Salons have amassed stunning success and illustriousness within the New Brunswick arts community as metamorphic meetings – meetings between artists’ works and viewers of art – between art and the public – between art and you.
“Pathways to Nirvana” features the works of 15 monumentally talented artists, making this Salon Alfa’s largest in what will be the New Brunswick Art Salon’s fifth year. The NBAS is a forum for artists and their works to be exposed to the New Brunswick public, and for the New Brunswick public to be exposed to artists and their works; this crisscrossing helix of our artists and the New Brunswick public is what deepens the connection between the artist, the art, and the viewer – a connection that we at Alfa proudly promote and support. The exhibition encompasses oil-color works and mixed media works from a collection of artists who possess differing ideas – ideas seamlessly connected through a passion to explore the mercurial nature of art in all forms, using a kaleidoscope of media to tell deep, thoughtful stories.
