For over a decade, the annual New Brunswick Art Salon has cultivated relationships between artists and art enthusiasts from New Jersey and the surrounding tri-state area. This September, a special event will highlight the winners from exhibitions in 2024 and 2025, celebrating their achievements and showcasing their exceptional work.
The Art of Perspective (January 2024 – March 2024) opened the 2024 New Brunswick Art Salon series with a dynamic showcase of photography. Featuring both emerging and established artists, the exhibition highlighted how traditional subjects can be transformed through unique perspectives, inviting viewers to reimagine their environment and reflect on the power of images to capture life in new ways.
Color and Texture: Anthologies of Artistry (Aug 2024 – Oct 2024) brought together a vibrant mix of artists whose works explored the interplay of color and texture across painting, sculpture, and mixed media. The exhibition invited viewers to consider how identity, heritage, and environment are expressed through bold palettes, layered materials, and dynamic forms.
Textures of the Tides: Explorations of Nature, Forms, and Identity (Nov 2024 – Jan 2025) showcased the fluidity and expressive potential of watercolor and mixed media. The exhibition explored the relationships between nature, identity, and form, using texture and movement to evoke both personal and environmental connections.
Beyond the Image: Unveiling Hidden Narratives (Jan 2025 – Mar 2025) presented diverse approaches to artistic photography, emphasizing its power to tell layered human, natural, and spiritual stories. The works reflected on the complexity of narrative-making and the ways photography bridges the ordinary with the unseen.
The Mundane in Motion (Oct 2025 – Dec 2025) highlighted how everyday gestures and ordinary moments can be transformed into profound artistic statements. Through painting and sculpture, artists reflected on memory, presence, and transformation, turning the rhythms of daily life into expressive works of art.
Between Stillness and Surge (November 2025 – January 2026) featured watercolor and mixed media works that explored the shifting boundaries between serenity and momentum. Moving between abstraction and naturalism, the exhibition highlighted watercolor’s expressive versatility and invited viewers to consider the balance of stillness and movement in both art and life.
