About the Exhibition
Annually, the Alfa Art Gallery hosts a series of New Brunswick Art Salon (NBAS) exhibitions, showcasing oil, sculpture, and mixed media pieces. The primary aim of these Art Salon events is to bridge the gap between artists and the community, particularly in the diverse city of New Brunswick. Situated at 108 Church Street, in the heart of New Brunswick, the Alfa Art Gallery operates as a non-profit organization. Emphasizing visual art as the ultimate form of communication, we strive to offer professional criticism and guidance to exhibiting artists. Our mission revolves around establishing a cultural hub for fine painters, sculptors, actors, and writers from New Jersey and beyond.
In response to the evolving landscape, the Alfa Art Gallery successfully introduced virtual exhibitions using Artsteps virtual gallery software. Given its success, we have continued to incorporate virtual exhibitions for every show to prioritize the safety of our guests. Zoom, the web communications platform, will be utilized for the virtual reception and interviews with confirmed artists for this exhibition.
The gallery is proudly sponsored by the New Brunswick City Market, with generous grants from organizations such as Amboy Bank, Johnson & Johnson, Magyar Bank, Middlesex County Cultural and Heritage Commission, New Brunswick City Center, Merck Pharmaceutical, GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceutical, and The Bank of Princeton. These sponsorships play a crucial role in supporting our mission and facilitating the vibrant cultural exchange within our community.
Submission Requirements
- An artist can submit any number of pieces—the more the better!
- Students and faculty members of universities and neighboring schools are encouraged to participate.
- We consider both professional and emerging artist’s submissions.
- To enter for consideration, please fill out our “Portfolio Submission Form” and follow the submission instructions listed in it.
- There is NO ENTRY FEE.
- Oil, sculpture, and mixed media pieces only please!
