Iliyan Ivanov Solo Exhibition “The Ways Things Come About”, showcases cascades of free-flowing shapes, vivid hues, and fractalized lines that are transformed into surreal set-pieces through the artwork of Bulgarian-born artist Iliyan Ivanov. Through rough brushstrokes and overlapping layers of opaque paint, Ivanov creates chaotic compositions that invite the eye to discover patterns through intimate observation. In his past works, Ivanov played with how spatial relationships between objects can change a viewer’s interpretation.
