“Art introduced me to diversity and I have always been fascinated by each person’s uniqueness. I often bring people together through the subject matter that is common to all humanity. We all have the needs of touch, love, family, comfort, food, companionship, community, apprenticeship, rites of passage, education/training, language. We all have struggles, seen or suffered injustice. We need to learn more about other people(s). I like to introduce people to other people with my work. We strengthen what we focus on, most of my work focuses on what is common to all people.”
