Amy Brooks is a glass and metal artist who works from her studio, Paradise Custom Glass, in Metuchen, New Jersey which she opened in 2010. She specializes in creating custom glass and metal with patrons from every corner of the United States and aims to help them bring their vision to life. She has been exploring glass techniques from staired glass windows to torch work for more than twenty years and enjoys translating customers’ dreams and visions into beautiful and functional glass art.

In this interview Amy Brooks discusses her previous work has a commission artist that primarily worked with glass and metal. She also talks about how the last presidential election inspired her to create more pieces centered around current politics. With her piece “Trump is the bomb,” Brook seeks to illustrate the lack of communication that she believes is present in today’s society while creating a visual response of Trump’s descriptive and explosive behavior.
