Artist Statement

I believe my work speaks to the heart of my viewers as each work tells a story and captures the viewer in a moment of emotion they can appreciate.

Pastels, watercolors and graphite are my mediums of choice with pastels being my favorite. My subject matter often times determines which of the three I will use.

Family and community inspire many of my works, reflecting contemporary life. Drawing titles such as “Make a Joyful Noise”, “Let it Rain”, “Aswan and Friends” and “Walk With Me” emphasize this connection.
