Craig Shofed is a self-made artist who spent an extensive twenty six years in the world of Information Technology. Though his professional life focused on technology, he maintained his interest in photography, always carrying a camera with him. Later in his life, Shofed turned to fine arts photography, and moved to Trenton, NJ, where he found a raw and vibrant art scene. Shofed has even gone on to curating by creating an annual show featuring artists inspired by his home town of Trenton. Shofed describes his style of photography through photographs of things that often go un-noticed and things we often take for granted.

Artist Statement:

Things un-noticed. The ordinary. Things we take for granted. I love to find beauty in objects we pass by every day. When I spot an object or subject that meets my criteria I picture the moment I’d like to capture that object in. When that moment arrives, I take the shot. That picture usually takes place in an urban setting or as nature tries to reclaim a man-made object. Not always, but that tends to be what my eye is drawn towards. Things passed over.
