Artist Bio:
At a young age I was producing drawings for JP Stevens Fabric Company, who used them on some of their products. Around that time I was studying at Dorothy Cannon’s Art Studio in Studio City, California. Under Dorothy’s direction I explored traditional art,techniques and many other forms of art.Mentored by several abstract artists including Roy Henry and Mark Petersen whoinspired and guided me in contemporary and abstract art with my main focus on nature and architecture. I have done work with Interior Designers for luxury homes, developers, architects doing paintings for their buildings in lobbies, and set decorators who have my work shown on movies and television. Another area I work in is Corporate art and commissioned works.
Artist Statement:
An “Escape Artist” who creates abstracts inspired by subjects of architecture and nature. Mystyle of art varies between geometric shapes, forms and lines or can be free-flowing organic. My abstracts tendto be simplistic in format inspired by colors, textures and subject matter to stir the imagination and create theirown vision in what it represents to each viewer. I try to have balance in my compositions, not equal balance buta view that feels comfortable and brings out the most important details of the subject. My wish is that everyonecan keep an open mind and view all art with imagination.
