Artist Statement
I have been blessed with the opportunity to visit many of the most beautiful places on earth. I have marveled at the vastness of our National Park landscapes and studied the subtle beauty of the details within those landscapes. The wildlife of Africa, Costa Rica and the Galapagos Islands amazed me, and I have become acquainted with the browns bears of Alaska. My love for our natural world has driven me to use my camera to capture and share its drama and beauty.
My work reflects the world as I see it, but I also use my camera as a paint brush to create images of the world as I imagine it. I focus on the details of a rolling wave and capture our earth from above, creating images that show a unique view of the world.
Many of my subjects are threatened by expanding human populations and the effects of climate change. I hope my photos can inspire viewers to care about the world we share and become champions for the protection of our environment.
