Ritu Bajaj embarked on her passionate odyssey as an artist while she was still in college. Though not professionally trained at the time, she inspired awe and amazement by transforming mundane two-dimensional biology sketches into realistic, three-dimensional representations. To provide some structure to her innate artistic talents, she obtained training in oil painting in India.

After almost a decade in the staffing industry in the US, she decided to hone her knowledge and skills of oil painting by attending art classes with several professional artists. Around the time, she was introduced to a master artist, a French Renaissance guru, in an atelier where she was introduced to Realism. Empowered with traditional oil painting techniques she learned the intricacies of fine art drawing and traditional oil painting/glazing techniques in an atelier setting. This truly gave her the confidence to produce professional artwork. The techniques she learned in the atelier resonated well with Ritu and she became proficient in traditional realism. She has participated in juried exhibitions and done commissioned work, her paintings attract crowds and appreciation alike. In fact, her painting was selected for publication in a book review by Harper Magazine. Her work was also selected by artwanted.com for their 2024 landscape calendar.

During the past decade, Ritu has also produced artwork with graphite, charcoal, and pen and ink just as easily as she has with oil paint. Her work ranges from landscapes, still life, and florals to portraits.
