About the Artist
Elsie Sienkiewicz is an artist who uses non conventional items to create art. One example she gives is using produce bags. They would be thrown out, wasted, but she took them and created something new from something not often thought of bearing such a capability. She really takes the word “recycle” to a new level. Her works encompass quilting and collage work. She uses traditional techniques for her quilting, but then bedazzle them with accessories. Sienkiewicz loves using texture and color and combining mixed media for pieces. She has won many awards, and has been showcased all over the place.
