Alfa Art Gallery’s internship program is available to college students and recent graduates. This is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world work experience in an art gallery gallery environment.
The internship is unpaid, but interns may arrange with their college to receive course credit (each department does things differently but there is usually some sort of internship proposal form. Talk to your department heads for more info). There is also a strong possibility for additional opportunities.

Responsibilities:
- Support and expand public relations with collectors, media contacts, artists and the general public
- Assist in managing gallery operations
- Assist in management, research, communication and coordination of installations
- Assist during events and receptions (need to attend most events)
- Research new grants
- Assist in PR Tasks, including in the design of posters and postcards
- Maintain social media network presence
Requirements:
- Studio Arts, Marketing/Hospitality, Art History, Communications Majors (preferred)
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication
- Possess multi-tasking and coordination experience
- Passion for art; actively involved in the art community
- Demonstrate attention to details while maintaining perspective
- Computer literacy
The ideal candidate will be an outgoing self-starter who is able to multitask and should have the ability to take initiative and problem-solve.
