Sammy Caponegro is an artist influenced by the glorious beaches of Miami and the colors, music, design, and fashion of the 1950’s. His work is in the MiMo (MiamiModern) style. He works in watercolors on scrap wood and recycled cigar boxes. All his art is covered with a resin which adds a glossy protective coating, lets the wood grain show through, and allows the colors to take a life of their own in dancing patterns. His current pieces are on ¼ inch wood and are ready to hang/ No frames needed.
