Mary Clark Ladd has a background in graphic design and illustration. She currently is focusing on fine art, most specifically painting. Her art is a fusion between realism and abstraction, and is influenced by her love of graphic and architectural design. Her unique creations are built up with layers of color and texture intended to add depth and dimension to each piece. She likes to approach her work in a unique way by adding unexpected details. She paints a broad range of subject matter – from people, pet and house portraits to flowers and objects, or any subject matter that inspires her. She likes to mix up the subject matter and approach to keep the creative process fresh and exciting.
