Maria Lupo is an internationally recognized artist who was born and raised in Newark, NJ.  Maria attended Rutgers University, receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts, and also began her sculptural studies in Cennina, Italy thru Rutgers.  She was greatly influenced from her time in Tuscany, finding both her cultural roots as well as her artistic heritage as a sculptress. 

Maria has also continued her studies in sculpture, receiving a Master’s of Fine Arts at Hunter’s College in CUNY.  She has also completed her Post-Masters Specialization in Art Therapy from Caldwell College and is a Registered Art Therapist, while also having a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology.  Maria Lupo is also a recipient of the NJ State Council on the Arts Fellowship Award.
