DESCRIPTION:Virtual Exhibition: September 5th\, 2024\, 6:30pm \nAlfa Art Gallery is delighted to invite you to the virtual opening reception of our 2024 NBAS Oil\, Sculpture & Mixed Media exhibition Color and Texture: Anthologies of Artistry. Color and Texture: Anthologies of Artistry brings together an eclectic mix of artists whose works explore the intricate interplay of vibrant color and rich texture\, inviting viewers on a journey through diverse artistic landscapes. Artists explore similar themes of identity and tradition with paint\, though an interrogation of heritage contrasting the stoicism solitary portraiture. Natural and cultural elements are prominently highlighted with bold colors utilizing fabric as sculpture. The juxtaposition of organic and structural forms is continued in nature-inspired collages and works with wire sculpture. Further abstract expressionistic explorations are found in vibrant graffiti aesthetics and dynamic encaustic pattern making. \nColor and Texture: Anthologies of Artistry offers a visual meditation on collective consciousness. Works featuring layers of handmade papers\, drawings\, and natural elements reflect the transformation and rejuvenation found in nature\, encouraging deeper exploration of our environment at large. Since starting the program in 2010 Alfa Art Gallery has made a point to include a salon dedicated to showcasing oil\, watercolor\, photography and mixed media artworks. Over the years\, the NBAS has not only exhibited works from both established and emerging artists but has also made fruitful connections locally and internationally through its successful programs. Within this non-profit organization\, Alfa Art Gallery maintains its mission to uplift artists by providing an open and innovative environment.  \n  \nAbout Alfa Art Gallery \nAlfa Art Gallery is a non-profit organization devoted to the discovery\, growth\, and support of emerging and established artists within the art community.
