OUR DEDICATED STAFF >> Natalie Trainor Natalie Trainor – Curator Natalie Trainor graduated from Rutgers College in May 2008, earning a degree in art history and history. She began working as a curator with Alfa Art Gallery to explore her interest in art and its relation to space. In her undergraduate studies Natalie was particularly interested in the political art of French artist Jaques-Louis David and the nineteenth century American artist Winslow Homer. Studying in Urbino, Italy, Natalie cultivated an interest in the Renaissance Masters and modern American artists such as George Tooker, who utilized the stylistic techniques of Renaissance artists. In the Summer and Autumn of 2008 Ms. Trainor contributed to the Margaret Mead Film and Video Festival at the American Museum of Natural History. In addition to curating for Alfa Art Gallery, Natalie works at the State Theatre in New Brunswick and contributes to Manhattan-based ArtBridge, a not-for-profit organization that works to build connections between the public and the arts. |
