Rita’s paintings are an expression of the freedom of her three year old self able to unselfconsciously and with total freedom, react to the glee of the moment…no shapes or forms…just colors and movement.  She has no preconceived idea of what a painting will become.  The initial stroke of the brush on canvas or paper dictates where the next stroke and color will go…Picasso wanted to paint like a five year old…I want to paint like a three year old.
