Leina’ala was born in Morristown, New Jersey, into a family of artists and craftmen. In school, Leina’ala excelled in academics, as well as in music, drama, and art, often tutoring other students and directing art projects for plays and social events. Leina’ala holds a degree in Accounting from Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ, a Master’s degree in Taxation from Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ, and an Associate of Fine Arts degree in Visual Arts from the County College of Morris in Randolph, NJ. She is also a licensed CPA in the state of New Jersey.

 

Leina’ala is a multi-media artist whose works incorporates many modalities, including figure drawings, paper collage, oil and acrylic paintings, and sculpture. She belongs to The Green Barn Artists, a group that boasts prestigious artists among its members. She also draws with the Morris County Art Association, Morristown, NJ and the Montclair Museum Yard School of Art.

 

Since 2009, her work has been exhibited at the Zufall Health Center, Dover, NJ, The HIVE Gallery in Chester, NJ, the Atrium Galley in the Morris County Administration Building, Morris Township Municipal Building, Morris County Public Library, The Mayo Performing Arts Center in Morristown, NJ, the Linda Glandis Blatt Gallery at Temple Bnai or in Morristown, NJ, the office of Dr. Sharon Montgomery, County College of Morris De Mare Hall Strolling Art Gallery,
“Ecclection Collection” Spring 2012 Portfolio Class Exhibition at County College of Morris Gallery, Randolph, NJ, Sherman H. Masterson Learning and Research Center at County College of Morris, Randolph, NJ and has won awards of excellence for her unique work.

 

Leina’ala lives with her husband in Mendham, NJ.
