April 11th, 2009 - 4-8pm - Photoshop CS4 retouching and printing lecture/demonstration with Mark Beckelman and Andrew Darlow

Adobe Photoshop CS4Alfa Art Gallery is pleased to announce a Photoshop CS4 retouching and printing lecture/demonstration with Mark Beckelman and Andrew Darlow. In the four-hour lecture-style workshop, professional photographer and retoucher Mark Beckelman will cover the following:

  • Four new features in Photoshop CS4;
  • Professional RAW workflow using Bridge, Lightroom and Adobe Camera RAW;
  • Working with Smart Objects;
  • Portrait retouching techniques; and
  • Adding drama and creative interpretation to your images

Each participant will receive before and after versions (including all layers) of many of the tutorial images shown during the event. For an additional $49, attendees may submit one image of their choice (or two images if they have a composite), and Mark Beckelman will spend at least 15 minutes retouching it during the lecture.

During the event, Andrew Darlow, whose exhibition, GRANDmarks - NYC is currently on display, will spend approximately 45 minutes demonstrating a color managed printing workflow using Photoshop CS4, and he will answer questions about inkjet printing. Following the lecture, Andrew Darlow will sign copies of his book, 301 Inkjet Tips and Techniques, and 11x14 inch poster prints of his work. (click here to learn more about Andrew Darlow)
